Nov. 11, 2009 - TransWest Express LLC is among the sponsors of this year's Utah Association of Counties convention, held this week in St. George, Utah.

UAC's annual event brings together county commissioners, county attorneys, treasurers, clerks and other county leaders for education, training and networking opportunities. Operated by the 29 counties of Utah, the Utah Association of Counties helps county officials provide effective county governance to their citizens with a broad range of management and intergovernmental relations services.

The sponsorship is part of TransWest Express LLC's efforts to share information across the West about its TransWest Express Transmission Project, a proposed 3,000-megawatt HVDC transmission line under development. The line's roughly 800-mile route starts in Wyoming, crosses northwest Colorado, and follows transmission corridors in several Utah counties before ending near Las Vegas.
